You like to work behind the scenes, getting involved in activities that are core to an organisation's effective service delivery. Without you, the rooms wouldn’t be clean and welcoming for new customers, goods wouldn’t be packaged, nor would they be delivered on time.

You'll likely be happy working on your feet, in a fairly physical role and seeing the impact of your work in the form of a final product for a customer - for example, a bag of coffee ready to be purchased, an office cleaned and ready to be worked in, or a package delivered to an eagerly waiting customer.

Your strengths are likely:

Ability to work independently or in a team
Ability to manage time effectively
Good attention to detail
Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
Willingness to learn and take instruction
Basic (right up to advanced) English skills to be able to read product labels, ingredients, etc.

Experience & salary expectations

Cleaner ➡️

Experience: No prior experience necessary.
Work hours: Typically 1-40 hours per week. There can be varied shift patterns including night shifts.
Salary: £16,000-£21,000

Courier or delivery driver ➡️

Experience: Driving license required, unless the role specifies that you can deliver by cycling.
Work hours: Typically 1 - 30 hours per week. There can be varied shift patterns including weekends.
Salary: £18,000 - £23,000

Pest control ➡️

Experience: No experience required.
Work hours: Typically 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Salary: £21,000 - £30,000

Security guard ➡️

Experience: No experience required.
Work hours: Typically 1-40 hours per week. There can be varied shift patterns including weekend and night shifts.
Salary: £19,000-£20,000

Warehouse operative ➡️

Experience: Often no formal qualification or training required.
Work hours: Typically 1-40 hours per week. There can be varied shift patterns including night shifts.
Salary: £18,000-£22,000
